With reference to your belegram of

the Blst. Namo, regarding an application from Messrs, Meyer & Co., for permission to import certain arms into this Colony, I have the honour to inform you that there is no objection to admitting the arms in question.

2. As there is no law in Hongkong

which preventa the importation of arms by licensed deal- ers, such as Meyer & Co., it is perhaps unnecessary to transmit telegraphic communications on the subject.

The export of arms etc., from

- HongKong is not at present allowed except under special

permit.
